Professional Biography

Colleen Farris teaches high school culinary arts with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) in the Republic of Korea. She is a master’s student in the Educational Technology program at Michigan State University where she received the Education Abroad Academic Excellence Award and the Kenneth Harding Graduate Student Endowed Scholarship. She holds an M.A. in History from the University of North Florida and a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College. Her research and practice focus on integrating technology and data-driven decision making to promote equity and excellence in Career and Technical Education (CTE). She develops authentic learning experiences enhanced by innovative digital systems, including automated inventory management tools that connect the classroom to industry-standard practices.
